Work Hard, (Eventually) Play Hard

As a favor to a friend, I agreed to be the Vendor & Volunteer Coordinator for a festival that's coming up the first weekend of September.  I really like this friend, and want the festival to be a success, so I agreed to help without really thinking about the time commitment that was required. More specifically, I didn't think about how my hyper organized personality would work with this position.

I've been checking my email every 10 minutes or so, just so I don't miss an email from a vendor or my boss. I have a binder and spreadsheet filled with vendor information to make the day of set up easier. I spend my free time brainstorming ways to recruit more vendors and volunteers. I probably annoy my boss/friend with all of my texts and requests for meetings.

But that's just how I am - organized and on top of my stuff so that nothing is undone, and the day of runs smoothly. (While writing this, I just realized that I should send vendors an email reminding them of the day of rules. I should start that soon.) And that's why I was hired, which is why I don't mind putting myself under this much stress for a few more weeks.
